Software-based video wall for displaying multiple channels in a customizable layout
One of LanTV’s useful capabilities is the ability to create software-based video walls that display multiple TV channels and video feeds simultaneously. LanTV Videowall lets users view the required channels across multiple monitors or televisions and customize the layout to suit their needs.
Instead of using complex, dedicated hardware for each display, this solution implements the video wall in software. Multiple video feeds and channels can be arranged side by side in a single window and displayed on monitors connected to a computer. Users can set the size and position of each viewing window based on the intended use and available space. This makes it possible to create different layouts for monitoring environments, control rooms, surveillance centers, and other settings where multiple channels must be viewed at the same time.
A key advantage of Videowall is its flexibility in making use of existing infrastructure. TV channels received by the LanTV system and distributed over the network can also be displayed in the video wall. As a result, there is no need to create a separate hardware path for every video feed.
This capability also helps make better use of display space. Many channels can be viewed side by side, with selected feeds displayed larger or smaller as needed. Users can also record any channel they are currently viewing.
By combining channel reception and distribution with software-based display, LanTV Videowall provides a flexible way to build a video wall while reducing the complexity, equipment count, and costs associated with traditional multichannel display solutions.
